Todo VS Aliens
Today I'm going to talk about the Todo marketing campaign.For those who don't know Todo: Todo is one of Edita's products. Edita is a market leader in baked food products, with a portfolio of brands that includes Molto,TODO, MiMix, Bake Rolls, Bake Sticks, and Fresca. What is very impressive about Todo marketing is that They have an eye for the opportunities opened by any trend using a comedic style. The thing that makes people, even if they aren't intending to buy the product, still aware of it's presence.
Now, let's see an example of the innovation of this amazing marketing team of Todo:
Once upon a time there was a brand of chocolate milk called Cadbury Dairy Milk,that brand was introduced in the United kingdom in 1905. Each product of that brand is made exclusively with milk chocolate. their slogan is “ free the joy".
Everyday that brand uses social media to raise awareness of their brand and increase their sales.
One day, Cadbury decided to launch an advertising campaign about their product. that campaign theme is that aliens decided to come to earth to search for joy..which of course is in their chocolate and they wrote “Even aliens came searching for cadbury’s dairy milk joy! #Freethejoy” and attached that video : Cadbury's ad
and we know that Todo won’t miss a chance like this to mock them, especially with the majority of Cadbury's fans not liking the add, saying it was spooky.
Because of that Todo put a pic on their facebook page that says:
“we are from Abdeen, you aliens! #freethejoymore #todohatozbot”
Cadbury realized that the war has begun and decided to fight back so they put a pic of their aliens holding a bludgeon and driving a tuk tuk( a popular mode of transport in Egypt) and asking about the way to Abdeen.
Of course Todo won’t just stand and watch so they replied to them with a pic of the aliens’ tuk tuk so small besides two members of Todo gang with thecaption:”Can you hear that?#CryOfAnAnt”
The story doesn't end here! other brands from Edita’s production has joined the war to stand by Todo’s side like Twinkies who posted a pic on their facebook fanpage with the caption: “Happiness doesn't need aliens, it’s right there in the nearest supermarket”
Molto also joined using an egyptian proverb thatsaid: “Me and my brother against my cousin, andme and my cousin against the aliens!right?@BakeRols&BakeStix”
Bake stix and bake rolz immediately replied and called Freska saying: “Of course @Molto we are with you against the aliens! right @Freska?”
